Sony has decided to acquire the central stand at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) that will take place in January next year in Las Vegas. Ok...that would seem rather normal...except for the fact that the stand will have 12,000 sq. feet (aprox 3660 square meters). That's a lot. Time to take away the X360 thunder.
This is the time my friends for those who have been eagerly awaiting some sign of the PS3 in our future. I just hope they keep they name as PS3 and not give it another name.

PS3 and Blueray, XBOX 360 trying to make friends with everyone, ahh the Karma. While this post is not a podcast but more of a rant I just want to say that we are going to see a MAJOR battle not only on the console front, but on the Media front, ie; Blueray, HD-DVD. And DVD.
The first battle of course is going to be the console battle which Microsoft will launch it's first attack after gobble day later this month, with the PS3 stumbling in early next year, and Nintendo doing something FANTASTIC to clean up. The XBOX 360 of course will take the first strike as it is going to be the first next gen console to hit the streets with it's beautiful graphics and what not. The PS3 may pave a new way with it's proprietary Blueray format, which would mean in my opinion that backward compatibility will be gone and they will shoot themselves in the foot.
And Nintendo......ahhhhh Nintendo. For a system that will likely see the light of day sometime this summer it has it's ducks in a row. Essentially it will have a Game Cube built in, as well as the ability to download games from the NES, Super Nintendo, and the Nintedo 64. And when I say a Game Cube built in, I mean it will be backward compatible not only to Gamecube, but compatible to the 1980's("Dr. Mario Anyone????").
So here are my predictions as to the winners: In first place the XBOX 360, Second the Nintendo Revolution, and trailing in third due to a foot wound due to being shot there due to Blueray is the PS3.
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, if I'm right then I did my homework and get a gold star.
What are your predictions??

According to the Lionhead website, Black and White 2 has been fully released today!
It's another big day for Lionhead Studios and especially the Black and White Team! Black and White 2 is out, released and on the shelves in every store!
Today there's a big launch event at the Virgin Megastore in London; Peter Molyneux and Ron Millar - and also other people from BWStudio - will give presentations of Black and White 2, answer questions from fans and give signatures. At the event you can buy a signed copy of the game and even play it before you buy. There'll be loads of prizes to win as well; from posters and gadgets to brand new ATI video cards.

All moved in! The Internet is working! I'll be back for the next podcast :) I can't wait to hear Charlie's review of Nintendogs, especially since I'm probably going to buy it with my next paycheck. I've been waiting so long I can't STAND it!
Lets take a little poll: Should I spend my money on:
1. Nintendogs (and a DS to play it on)
2. World of Warcraft
3. Final Fantasy XI
I will actually purchase whichever one wins. How about that? YOU CAN MAKE ME SPEND MY OWN MONEY!! How sick is that? I deserve a present, no?

Hi!
I thought I'd introduce myself on the blog, as you've already (possibly) heard me on the Tired Thumbs podcast. I'm Veronica, and when I'm not playing the Sims 2 I produce a little podcast called Buzz Out Loud, for CNET. That's why you'll often hear Charlie making fun of me for "plugging" things (like Gamespot... but c'mon, they're awesome, no?).
I'll be contributing every so often to the blog, and on the podcast. You can email me here if you want to say something to me directly; otherwise, keep writing to Charlie, as he's the real brains around here!
Love,
Veronica

Through the message boards you hear a lot of stuff but this seems to be valid. A U.S. player was d/l the PSP v2.0 for the Japanese version and received the message that the U.S. version will be released on August 12th. So take it for what it is. I'm going to wait like I said in the past podcast, no use in screwing up a $250 item if you don't have to.
Posted by Charlie George at 10:51 PM 0 comments
Well looks like v2.0 for the PSP is out in Japan, we are just waiting for the US Release for which Sony is giving NO details. Well we have details in todays news update which should be up around 3PM CST today.

A listener sent this into us. It's part of firmware 2.0 that was released today. One of the major things are that it will include a web browser. Well it didn't take time for the ESRB to slap Rockstar with an "Adult Only" rating on their latest opus Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
This came from items that revealed mini sex games within the program. Now as far as I know the games were hidden and had to be hacked in order to play them. Let's say that this is a historical event as Rockstar is the first to get this type of rating.
At the moment Rockstar is sending out "AO" stickers to cover up the "M" rated stickers until they can re-issue an edited version of the game this fall.
so if this suits you grab the PC copy and keep it to yourself lol.
Here's the full story.

Welcome to the Sixth installment of the Podcast. Ususally we do the show on a Tuesday, but last week, there was a loss in my family and I had to take care of business, like I always say "Family First". It is saddening to lose someone you really care about, so I need to strengthen up and move on so to speak.
This week is kind of an experiment, and I would really like your feedback. I did a PSP soundseeing tour of...well me unpacking a PSP. I hope you like it as much as I've enjoyed doing it. Bought a couple of games too, so you can count on reviews as I countdown the battery charge time of 2 hours and 20 minutes. But I did have another game slated for review on Tuesday/Wednesday. So I hope you enjoy it. Thanks!!!!
